WEEK 7 9/26/11 - 9/30/11

Thank you to all parents who provided snacks last week for testing. The students loved them, and it made testing more bearable.

We've been having lots of extra items coming to school in the backpacks. Backpacks should be used to carry school supplies, books, and lunches. Please have your child leave unnecessary items at home. Thank you.

Our next visit to Emeritus and Hampshire is on Friday, October 14 from @9:45 - @10:55. I will list those of you who signed up to drive on the Memo Home. Thank you.

WEEK 6 -- 9/19/11 - 9/23/11

We will be having standardized testing each morning this week from 8:30am-@11:30am. Please insure that your child gets a good night's sleep and a good breakfast each day in preparation for testing. Please schedule outside appointments for your child at another time, as there are no make-up tests. There will be no spelling or reading/vocabulary tests this week. There will be no homework this week.

WEEK 5 09/12/11 - 09/16/11

Thank you to all who drove and chaperoned on Friday for our Communion Services. Our visits were much appreciated, and the students behaved very well!

Next week we will have ITBS testing each day from @8:30 - @11:30. Please ensure that your child gets enough sleep and eats breakfast every morning. Please schedule appointments for your child at another time, as the tests cannot be made up. Thank you for your help in this matter.

We will have a social studies test on chapter 1 on Wednesday. These tests are difficult. Please have your child reread the chapter for understanding. All vocabulary words (highlighted in yellow in the book) will be on the test. Know the answers to the red check-marked questions through out the chapter. We have spent extra time in class on the test material.

WEEK 2 -- August 22 - 26, 2011




Except for some talking problems last week, everything went very well. Thank you for seeing that your child completed their homework, got to school on time, and had their supplies. I
appreciate your effort at home. This week we will spend more time on social studies and science. Last week we took extra time on math, language arts, class rules, and student expectations.
